my darkness

In this darkness that is mine
You found the light that was yours
In that pitch black light
Found a glow to your soul

You didn't bother to wonder why the shadows
You didn't ask how come there was no sun
Neither did you care about that coldness
Emptying this soul

And you burnt yourself
By looking beyond what wasn't
And you touched me to warm me
But ended up chassing the dark

Too late did you realise that this darkness was me
That this coldness was my presence
That the sun burnt my skin
And that light was blinding me.
